Using Pixel Shims |
|
This may be a way to build Tables similar to the gradtables.
With one great benefit. They should be view-able by PC's and without downloading the WebTV viewer. I have had this concept in the back of my mind ever since I heard and saw the 1x1 pixel images being used by PC sites as backgrounds for tables and webpages.
It started to come into focus last night when I was looking around this persons website and clicked on this page:
Using Pixel Shims To Format So I started playing with these tags, adjusting the various numbers for just a few minutes. Ideas started rapid firing as I am sure they will with some of you. I would like more of the 1x1 pixel images in a wide spectrum of colors. As well as suggestions on how to make our own. If I had more colors to work with I could get much better results. I would like your help in exploring this. It has great potential IMNHO |

A couple of questions I have are: Could a transparent pixel 1x1.gif be used with the tags of bgcolor= or/and font tag effects=raised, emboss, etc and have a effect on the viewed images of any degree? Another question: If we took a transparent pixel 1x1.gif and resized it to 2x2 or 3x3 then composited it, "center", "atop", or "over" a 1x1.gif of color what would the results be? A transparency slightly colored film? Or mini polkadots? LOL |
