1-CandleTip2.gif Now, how to perfect it, so the final result is a tapered candle and animated flame? I took the image to Gifworks: I cut off the flame and made the background transparent. Smart cropped it. Resized it to 12x31 and saved. I backed up and cropped the image again. Cropping off the upside-down cone shape. Made that background transparent. Smart cropped it. Took it to optimize and split the 3 frames. Selected the first frame. and saved. 
Part Two: Made a php GD cylinder and took it to ImageMagick To decorate and put a black border around it. Which gave me this: 
1-tapr_0.gif Took these 2 images and composited them over. 1-tapr_1.gif composited over south 1-tapr_2.gif composited over north +0+40  1-tapr_1.gif

Which gave me this:

1-tapr_5.gif Not quite right. I do not like the blend of the taper tip=1-tapr_2.gif and the body=1-tapr_1.gif of the candle. May be if I would crop off of the bottom of the "tip=1-tapr_2.gif" image it would blend right? Close though!
Trying it again I cropped and resized the 1-tapr_2.gif It is now the 1-tapr_22.gif below.

I composite 1-tapr_22.gif Over North -1+55 Which gives me this.
